Holobiont evolutionary genomics
Natural selection acts on a consortium of entities that includes various microbes and diverse mobile genetic elements as viruses or transposable elements (the “holobiont” concept). Understanding the evolutionary relationships inside the holobionts are at the heart of my scientific activities. I use genetic and genomic approaches combining wet-bench experiments and bioinformatic tools applied to a large array of model and non-model species.
