EGCE’s beehives are about 15. Bees are reared for experiments and also for honey production.

Baptiste Piqueret and Jean-Christophe Sandoz took part in the work on detection of tumour cells in mice by ants. This work was published in Proceedings of the Royal Society B: https://royalsocietypublishing.org/doi/10.1098/rspb.2022.1962.

Carton (EGCE) wrote “Louis Pasteur face à la maladie du ver à SOIE (1865-1870) : du chimiste au biologiste”. It is about the time L. Pasteur consecrated to the study of a desease of the silk worm.

Fabrice Requier and collaborators published in Trend in Ecology and Evolution an article highlighting the essential role of non-bees pollinators, too often neglected in studies on pollination, in particular for locally important crops.
