erse%20hive%20products%20and%20contributing%20to%20wild%20plant%20pollination%2C%20as%20well%20as%20being%20a%20critical%20component%20of%20crop%20pollination%20systems%20worldwide.%20High%20mortality%20rates%20have%20been%20reported%20in%20different%20continents%20attributed%20to%20different%20factors%2C%20including%20pesticides%2C%20pests%2C%20diseases%2C%20and%20lack%20of%20floral%20resources.%20Furthermore%2C%20climate%20change%20has%20been%20identified%20as%20a%20potential%20driver%20negatively%20impacting%20pollinators%2C%20but%20it%20is%20still%20unclear%20how%20it%20could%20affect%20honey%20bee%20populations.%20In%20this%20context%2C%20we%20carried%20out%20a%20systematic%20review%20to%20synthesize%20the%20effects%20of%20climate%20change%20on%20honey%20bees%20and%20beekeeping%20activities.%20A%20total%20of%2090%20articles%20were%20identified%2C%20providing%20insight%20into%20potential%20impacts%20%28negative%2C%20neutral%2C%20and%20positive%29%20on%20honey%20bees%20and%20beekeeping.%20Interest%20in%20climate%20change%27s%20impact%20on%20honey%20bees%20has%20increased%20in%20the%20last%20decade%2C%20with%20studies%20mainly%20focusing%20on%20honey%20bee%20individuals%2C%20using%20empirical%20and%20experimental%20approaches%2C%20and%20performed%20at%20short%5Cu2010spatial%20%28%3C10%5Cu2009km%29%20and%20temporal%20%28%3C5%5Cu2009years%29%20scales.%20Moreover%2C%20environmental%20analyses%20were%20mainly%20based%20on%20short%5Cu2010term%20data%20%28weather%29%20and%20concentrated%20on%20only%20a%20few%20countries.%20Environmental%20variables%20such%20as%20temperature%2C%20precipitation%2C%20and%20wind%20were%20widely%20studied%20and%20had%20generalized%20negative%20effects%20on%20different%20biological%20and%20ecological%20aspects%20of%20honey%20bees.%20Food%20reserves%2C%20plant%5Cu2010pollinator%20networks%2C%20mortality%2C%20gene%20expression%2C%20and%20metabolism%20were%20negatively%20impacted.%20Knowledge%20gaps%20included%20a%20lack%20of%20studies%20at%20the%20apiary%20and%20beekeeper%20level%2C%20a%20limited%20number%20of%20predictive%20and%20perception%20studies%2C%20poor%20representation%20of%20large%5Cu2010spatial%20and%20mid%5Cu2010term%20scales%2C%20a%20lack%20of%20climate%20analysis%2C%20and%20a%20poor%20understanding%20of%20the%20potential%20impacts%20of%20pests%20and%20diseases.%20Finally%2C%20climate%20change%27s%20impacts%20on%20global%20beekeeping%20are%20still%20an%20emergent%20issue.%20This%20is%20mainly%20due%20to%20their%20diverse%20effects%20on%20honey%20bees%20and%20the%20potential%20necessity%20of%20implementing%20adaptation%20measures%20to%20sustain%20this%20activity%20under%20complex%20environmental%20scenarios.%5Cn%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%5Cn%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%2C%20%5Cn%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20Resumen%5Cn%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%5Cn%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20La%20abeja%20occidental%5Cn%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20Apis%20mellifera%5Cn%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20es%20una%20especie%20manejada%20que%20proporciona%20diversos%20productos%20de%20la%20colmena%20y%20servicios%20de%20polinizaci%5Cu00f3n%2C%20los%20cuales%20son%20cruciales%20para%20plantas%20silvestres%20y%20cultivos%20en%20todo%20el%20mundo.%20En%20distintos%20continentes%20se%20han%20registrado%20altas%20tasas%20de%20mortalidad%2C%20las%20cuales%20son%20atribuidas%20a%20diversos%20factores%2C%20como%20el%20uso%20de%20pesticidas%2C%20plagas%2C%20enfermedades%20y%20falta%20de%20recursos%20florales.%20Adem%5Cu00e1s%2C%20el%20cambio%20clim%5Cu00e1tico%20ha%20sido%20identificado%20como%20un%20potencial%20factor%20que%20afecta%20negativamente%20a%20los%20polinizadores%2C%20pero%20a%5Cu00fan%20no%20est%5Cu00e1%20claro%20c%5Cu00f3mo%20podr%5Cu00eda%20afectar%20a%20las%20poblaciones%20de%20abejas%20mel%5Cu00edferas.%20En%20este%20contexto%2C%20realizamos%20una%20revisi%5Cu00f3n%20sistem%5Cu00e1tica%20de%20la%20literatura%20disponible%20para%20sintetizar%20los%20efectos%20del%20cambio%20clim%5Cu00e1tico%20en%20las%20abejas%20mel%5Cu00edferas%20y%20las%20actividades%20ap%5Cu00edcolas.%20En%20total%2C%20se%20identificaron%2090%20art%5Cu00edculos%20que%20proporcionaron%20informaci%5Cu00f3n%20sobre%20los%20posibles%20efectos%20%28negativos%2C%20neutros%20y%20positivos%29%20en%20las%20abejas%20mel%5Cu00edferas%20y%20la%20apicultura.%20El%20inter%5Cu00e9s%20por%20el%20impacto%20del%20cambio%20clim%5Cu00e1tico%20en%20las%20abejas%20mel%5Cu00edferas%20ha%20aumentado%20en%20la%20%5Cu00faltima%20d%5Cu00e9cada%2C%20con%20estudios%20centrados%20principalmente%20en%20individuos%20de%20abejas%20mel%5Cu00edferas%2C%20utilizando%20enfoques%20emp%5Cu00edricos%20y%20experimentales%20y%20realizados%20a%20escalas%20espaciales%20%28%3C10%20km%29%20y%20temporales%20%28%3C5%20a%5Cu00f1os%29%20cortas.%20Adem%5Cu00e1s%2C%20los%20an%5Cu00e1lisis%20ambientales%20fueron%20basaron%20principalmente%20en%20datos%20a%20corto%20plazo%20%28meteorol%5Cu00f3gicos%29%20y%20se%2
