Postdoc in experimental evolution\n\nA post-doctoral researcher position (12 month, renewable once) is available from June 2023. \nThe objective of this post-doctoral project is to design, run, and analyze\na series of experimental evolution studies in which different environmental\nfactors.\n\nFull project description:\n\nhttps:\/\/www.egce.universite-paris-saclay.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Ad_EN_1.0.pdf<\/a>\n\nApplication web site:\n\nhttps:\/\/emploi.cnrs.fr\/Offres\/CDD\/UMR9191-ARNLER-003\/Default.aspx?lang=EN<\/a>\n****************************************************\n\n\nUn court r\u00e9sum\u00e9:\n\n***************************************************\nPostdoc in experimental evolution\n\nA post-doctoral researcher position (12 month, renewable once) is available\nto work in collaboration with both of our groups from June 2023.\n\nThe objective of this post-doctoral project is to design, run, and analyze\na series of experimental evolution studies in which different environmental\nfactors (such as temperature, food, or chemicals) are manipulated to\ndistinguish the roles of adaptation, plasticity, and genetic constraints\non the evolution of the transcriptome.\n\nWe are looking for a motivated early career evolutionary biologist, with\na PhD degree obtained after 2018. Previous experience with experimental\nevolution would be appreciated, including lab work with\nmicro\/macro-organisms, basic molecular biology (DNA and RNA extraction),\npopulation genetics, and bioinformatics skills.\n\nThe position will be part of a 3-year project funded by the French\nNational Research Agency (ANR). The small research consortium includes\n2 PIs (Arnaud Le Rouzic and Anne Genissel), a PhD Student, an ANR-funded\ntechnician, and the current post-doc. This project aims at understanding\nand predicting the evolution of transcriptomes under stable and fluctuating\nselection combining both theoretical and empirical approaches. The post-doc\nwill be co-advised by both PIs. He\/she will be formally based at EGCE\n(Institute for Ecology and Evolution, IDEEV), and will perform the\nexperimental work at BIOGER (Agro-Campus).
